Parachute Mod 1.2.5 – What is it?

The parachute mod is a mod for Minecraft that allows you to deploy a parachute when you fall from a high distance. This mod is primarily useful for those times were you’re at a really high area, such as a cliff, or maybe even on top of a tower, and you accidentally fall off. Rather than hoping for water to be there, you could just deploy your parachute and you will be saved. Here’s how to craft the parachute:


That’s all you need! In order to use the parachute, the parachute must be in your hand while you are falling. While you’re falling, you right-click in the parachute should deploy. You can control the parachute in midair by using the WASD buttons to move around. Be warned though, as it’s the same as the boat controls, which takes some time getting used to. Another good thing about this mod is that you can press the spacebar to go higher. So rather than just saving you from falling to your demise, you can also use it to fly up.
All in all, this mod is a really good mod and I would highly recommend it for people who like to build on high grounds, but are a bit clumsy at times! Now for some screenshots of the mod.

How to Install the Parachute Mod

Here's the actual steps to installing that mod you want:

    1.Close Minecraft. This is to ensure that the files will overwrite properly.
    2.Open up Windows Explorer.
    3.In the navigation bar, type "%AppData%".
    4.Navigate to "Roaming". (Skip this step if you can't see a roaming folder.)
    5.Open up a folder called ".minecraft".
    6.Open up a folder called "bin".
    7.Right click the file called "minecraft" or "minecraft.jar".
    8.Select open with.
    9.Open with WinRAR.
   10.Open up the mod. (be sure to extract the mod first.)
   12.If there are no specific instructions included with the mod, it is safe to assume that you drag all the files in.
   13.Be sure to delete META-INF. I can't stress this enough.
